Mommy & Me Movies?
Have you been to a Mommy & Me Movie? Where movie theaters set aside one showing specifically for moms and their babies? They have them at the Pacific Theaters in Los Angeles and I've been thinking of going but wasn't sure what to expect. Is it just full of screaming babies? Did you have a good or bad experience? Do the moms just hold their babies in their arms the whole time? Are you allowed to bring strollers in there? Or car seats? Thanks.

- I tried to take my daughter who was 15 months to a movie and she screamed the whole time, she was terrified of the noise and dark unfamilar place. She is three and we are going to try to go to a theatre with her this week end (wish us luck)
- call the theater and ask they can probably fill you in on the details. hope i could help:)
- I haven't been to a Mommy and Me Movie, but they did a segment about it on a TV show that I was watching a few moths ago. I heard it was a really great experience, some moms found it great to socialize with other moms and other moms just liked to keep to themselves and simply enjoy the movie, but they all seemed to enjoy themselves greatly. When the babies are screaming, the moms usually remove themselves from the room to try and calm down their child, but if the babies are just whimpering a little the other moms don't seem to mind. You can hold your baby if you'd like, you can bottle feed or even breastfeed your baby there if you'd like also. Yes you can bring stroller or car seats, which ever you prefer for your baby to rest in while your not holding him or her. Mommy and Me Movies just wants to create a baby friendly environment where moms and even dads can enjoy a movie with their baby and socialize with other moms.
- I have been going to the Mommy and Me Movie for about a month now and I can honestly say it is one of the highlights of my week. You can bring your stroller in if you want or they have a designated area where all the moms park their strollers. Most moms like to bring their babies in in their car seats, that is not a problem at all. I have done that every time. Some moms hold their babies, others bring a mat and let their babies sit on the floor or on the seat next to them. There is a changing table at the front with a trash can so if you need to change your baby's diaper during the movie you don't have to leave. Everyone's baby cries at some point so you need not worry about your baby crying, it is normal and no one cares. Everyone is really nice and friendly. Definitely worth a try!
