If I'm waiting for a movie to load online and I put my computer to sleep, what will happen?

After searching for nearly two hours, I finally found a working link to an online movie from 2008. It's getting late and I'm rather tired. If I put my laptop on Sleep mode, will it stop the loading of my movie?

1. Yes, it will stop whatever it is doing if you put the laptop in sleep mode. You should just leave it on.
