Can I use Apple Cinema Display to view Video directly from my Camcorder?

I am looking for a monitor to connect to my Canon XH-A1 camcorder for when I am shooting. I have a spare Apple Cinema display which I would like to connect somehow, however I cannot figure out how to use just the monitor without the computer to view live footage. Is this possible, or do I need to use monitor that will connect to component/video cables?
