What can I wear to go to college, cinema, and friend's birthday?

On Friday I'm going to be in college half the day, then I'm going straight to the cinema, then straight to my friend's birthday meal. What can I wear that's not too dressy for college and the cinema, but dressy enough for the meal? Bearing in mind that I don't own a lot of dresses, and no skirts. Thanks.
