Does watching a movie in a cinema benefit the eyes?

I've heard it from somewhere but does anyone know medically and scientifically if watching a movie at the cinema is good for the eyes in any way?

1. Never heard of that before. But of course if you sit too close to the movie screen, it'll probably blind your eyes depends on how long you stay there.
2. There is no medical or scientific reason that it would make any difference , either good or bad, either way. That is simply using your eyes for what they are meant to do...see things.
