- gsc for me
- cathay n GSC..... i vote for cathay...
- of course GSC got all the features: spacious leg room, tasty popcorn and boombastic sound.. but most the times i chosed TGV MInes cos Super Wednesday (RM6), Ladies Day (Tuesday= RM7 for me).. good popcorn, and near with my place. so, both are great for me.
- I choose cineleisure, i quite like it there. if you really want a spacious seat. you should go for GSC twin seat which cost slightly higher.
- GSC and Cineleisure have extra features of spacious leg room seating which TGV do not have eg: Gold, Premier and Twin seats.. so i guess GSC and Cineleisure gets my vote, however it is expensive and suitable for those who can afford to watch in luxury...
- Spacious leg room - Cathay Cineleisure Tasty popcorn - TGV Bombastic sound - TGV, Cathay Cineleisure, GSC(Premier)
- i prefer GSC midvalley .. :)
- GSC have better seats.. but TGV is slowly upgrading now..
- For me, service is also very important. And lately, I have received less than satisfactory service from GSC. Some of the bad experiences or rather company rules that I could not understand, I can relate back. 1) GSC Midvalley-I booked 2 tickets for a movie via phone-booking and arrived with 15 minutes to spare. When we wanted to collect the tickets, it was sold to someone else. Imagine how furious I was. 2) GSC SJ-I booked 4 tickets for a movie via online e-booking, 3 days in advance (to ensure that we would get a seat because it was a new movie and online booking only allows 3 days in advance). When we went to collect the tickets on that day, the seats given were 5 rows from the screen and at the most corner (1-4). I know I may be insatiable but surely, when you pre-booked your tickets, 3 days in advance, you would have expect some better seatings. And what makes me more angry was the reply I got from the attendant, "...perhaps the better seats were taken by people who have booked earlier. Sometimes we even have people who booked at midnight!" I booked the tickets at 7am, 3 days prior to the show. That was the time for online booking, if you can check the website. And the stupid attendant said 'midnight'? What the crap is she talking about? By 10pm, the service would/should have been stop. I would like to say that I NEVER HAVE this kind of problems with TGV before. Even when you have not collected your reservations, 40 minutes before the show, they would not have sell your tickets yet. I know because I have experienced it. Plus, you can bet that if you have phone-reservation, your seats are always the best one given. Reservations are always given the middle seats/rows. Always. That should be the way. Otherwise, why in the hell, would I reserve a place if not for better view? Their online booking service also allow members to choose their seats, if I'm not mistaken. Unlike GSC which relies on their computer to allocate to you your seats (according to the mofo attendant). For all these reasons, I will not vouch for GSC. I chose TGV anytime if anyone asks me the same question. No comments for the 3rd cineplex as I have not experience it yet.
- I don't think there is such a thing as the best cinema. It's just a matter of preference and convenience. I go to GSC more because there is one near my home and workplace whilst last time, it was TGV which is near my (former) office. However, if I had to chose one, I would say that I had enjoyed myself more in TGV. Generally, it is cleaner in all its branches.
- If i really had to choose only one between the three, I'd say Cineleisure. The seats are very comfortable with spacious leg room, especially the couple seats where it's like a sofa type of seat instead of 2 seats with just the armrest raised up. The popcorn is not as good as GSC's but better than TGV - still crunchy and flavourful. Not only that, parking is easy, with special allocated parking spots for single woman drivers near the entrances for safety reasons. Summore its so much easier to book tickets - you can do so on their website and even choose your seats OR you can give them a call which directs you to their ticketing agents (not a machine like GSC's ticketing phoneline)
